Zinnias — so much joy for so little effort! It’s late in the season, but until frost hits, they will keep flowering away.
There haven’t been many butterflies this year due to a cold, wet spring that went well into early May. Yet a lone Monarch has been visiting the zinnias regularly the past week or so.
I’m a bit smitten with the Queen Lime series, and have planted the red, orange, and straight (green) varieties the past couple of years.
This little flower is reaching the end of its prime, but perhaps I’ll post some additional photos tomorrow.
